Logo rules, applied for you: the logo sits centered on a plate in the background color, never wider than 30% of the code, the error correction switches to H and the code gets at least version 5 so the data survives. The scan check then confirms it reads.

Output

Error correction lets a code survive dirt, damage or a logo: L, M, Q and H can lose 7%, 15%, 25% or 30% of the modules. Higher levels make a denser code.

How to make a Wi-Fi QR code

  1. Enter the network name exactly as it appears on your phone.
  2. Choose the security type and type the password (or pick the open network option).
  3. Download the PNG or SVG and put it where guests can scan it.

Frequently asked questions

Do guests need an app to join?

No. The camera app on iPhone (iOS 11 and later) and on Android recognizes Wi-Fi codes and offers to join the network.

Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?

No. The code is generated in your browser and the password never leaves your device. Nothing is stored on any server.

Which security type should I pick?

Look in your router settings or at your phone's Wi-Fi details. Modern networks are WPA2 or WPA3, both covered by the WPA option. WEP is obsolete and rare.

Can I make a code for a hidden network?

Yes. Tick the hidden option so the phone knows to look for a network that does not broadcast its name.
